Wetlands

Not all pools on this partilcur wetlands have blinds. To support the many do it yourself pure duck hunters and those with dogs that want to work them from land we have a wade-in area. A key point about this wade in area is that the picture was taken during one of the two driest years we have had in memory.

Left and right view of a single wade-in pool. This pool is in part of the wetlands a bulldozer cannot access. It is also for one duck hunter or duck hunting group of friends per day.

Wetlands management can be feast or famine, depending on the mood of mother nature requiring even on the best years off season maintenace and repair work.

A pot hole that rarely drys enough for tractor work being planted with millet by 4-wheeler.

All that is brown dirt in this picture will be covered with water come waterfowl season. We at every chance make the wtelands bottoms as smooth as possible. The levee and bind is to the right of this picture.

Above and below, two views of the same wetlands at differnt times.
