South Grand River D Wade-in Area

The wade-in area sits between blinds 1 and 2 on a 1/2 mile long marsh. The water level averages from 12 to 36 inches in depth.

The marsh has a combination of smartweed, wild millet and
bean stubble for the ducks to feed on.

Access is difficult and chest waders are required..

This wetland is on the Grand River flyway, which is a very high demand waterfowl location for those that hunt Missouri.

If you like hunting from a layout boat or a make shift blind, this is a prime location.

This photo was taken from the northwest corner of the wade-in area facing southeast.

A photo taken at noon during the season entering the wade-in area.

What we always like to see. The kind of day to remember happens but a few each season. When it does all is right with the world. It takes a good number of days on the water to get those special ones.
