Winter is not time to stop goose hunting

Boy with snow goose. On occasion we have wheat farmer friends of the association ask us to target their fields with hunters to ease Snow Goose crop damage.  We will call on our hunters to assist to further encourage landowner relationships.

Hunters are not limited to one game type.  All hunters share the cost of all land leases and are entitled to hunt all game types, for all seasons, on all lands, in both states as often as they may like. Hunters are also entitled to pre-season scouting and summer fishing on all waters.

Not all winters are cold...

A late season Missouri goose hunt in the rain on an open water and crop lease.

Hunting in the rain is tough, this day it paid off for Chris Reitz having a limit early and having spent more time setting decoys than hunting.
Combination hunts are perfectly possible as many seasons overlap. A waterfowl hunter one day can be an upland hunter the next all within easy driving distance.

The payback to the member is the lower cost administration of this approach to our Association means lower costs spent in the office on labor and more money for land contracts making even more hunting available to each hunter.

Some hunters have immediately responded "I can't hunt all that land, why should I pay for it." The answer is broad ranging. Deer hunters for example want to hunt multiple states as tag availability, seasons difference and habitat choices are possible. Most importantly deer hunters need to go where the big deer are and trophy deer will be hunted out of particular areas. With several regions in to hunt the deer hunter may flex to other areas.

More to the point in this section for the goose hunter is the ability to move south on Association properties as the geese move slowly south. During a winter freeze in the north, heading to our southern properties with their several degree increase in temperatures will allow for continued hunting.
