Fountain Grove Wetlands Duck Blind 10

Pictured just after sun rise and just before the first flight.

A view facing the West from Blind 10.

Blind 10 covers 10+ surface acres of water.

The average depth is 2 to 10 feet.

Blind 10 is an easy 200 yard walk from the parking area.

The blind can be accessed by dry land but chest waders and/or a dog are required to place decoys and retrieve game.

This lake serves as a holding lake for the north half of the west marsh. The water level is controlled by a drop log pipe structure to drain and hold as much water as we desire.

Located close to the Fountain Grove and Swan Lake Wildlife Area, this open water lake can be productive for Canada geese as well as ducks.

If the ducks are not flying and the weather is warm fishing is also allowed for bass, channel cats and bluegill.
