The water is 12 to 36 inches deep and that with some soft soil conditions makes chest waders a required item.
This wetlands has very good water vegetation and the shooting pool alone is within approximately 20 acres of surface water.
Blind 2 faces southwest with a good view of the ducks traveling to and from the Fountain Grove Wildlife Area on Parsons Creek.
A drop log pipe structure enables us to regulate the water level any time of the year.
The water level is lowered in mid-June to grow smartweed and wild millet. During dry years, food plots of milo or corn are also planted for for a good combination of food for the ducks.
