Private Wetlands Missouri Self Guided Duck Hunts
In Missouri, duck hunting is a tradition. MAHA brings the controls to that duck hunting tradition so that all may enjoy the day without interference from those that fail to understand the art of duck hunting. Skybusting, stealing flights, late blind occupation and all other discourteous behavior is not tolerated. Those that persist with such actions are dis-enrolled. The policing of the wetlands is done by the members that card all others they encounter and report to the office any misbehavior. This may seem draconian to some, however it is the difference between a good day and public land hunter mentality we all seek to avoid. Private Wetlands
Our wetlands are as easy or as difficult as the hunter wants it to be. We have dry land and wetland wade-in blinds as well as deep flooded timber that will require every inch of your chest waders. We have been building wetlands since the 1960s and have the experience to know where on the sub-basins to develop wetlands that are in close proximity of food and other large water bodies.
Getting the family out for a day together has made memories for a lifetime.
Take your children early and have a partner for life.
Opening weekend, in the north zone, when everyone is excited about getting out for that first duck hunt of the season members will expect to share blinds. Come that first Monday blinds go empty and for those that want to hunt with their children or a dog they are working to finish for good blind and retrieve discipline they will have the opportunity to hunt without the worry of interfering with or having others influencing dog training or children. The serious hunter desiring to apply his calling and decoying skills will find the ability to be on the water every day he has time to hunt. Access to all blinds and wetlands is equal to all hunters through a reservation system designed to prevent anyone or group from monopolizing any one blind. Parity and courtesy are the watch words for all waterfowl hunters. Another facet about our waterfowl hunters is they are by far the most social group in the Association often calling to see who else is schedule to hunt and then calling those hunters to see if any would like to partner up. This is optional. ATVs are permitted to transport equipment to and from the blinds when no ruts will be left behind. This is a foot scouting and hunting Association only. The land is not a four wheel playground. |
