From North Carolina on Duck Hunting

Third Season

Jon, had a great time and hunted some different areas this year....., probably was a week too early but that is hunting....... Here are a few highlights:....first hunting with good friends, thanks to Ronnie and Alex for sharing the blind.......good dog work, the bird is a mount for sure and he made a great retrieve in heavy cover..........and finally harvesting a variety of birds including mallards, gadwalls, woodducks and teal.......best regards, Dave

Second Season:

Jon, I had a great trip in November.....I have attached a few  pictures....Both of the pictured hunts was very special ...."greened" out with a drake gadwall in one and the other is variety...not often do you get to pick drakes only and to take a nice variety.....I stopped one short of the limit on each hunt...the hunt seemed "right" and one more bird was not going to make either hunt any better........My dog Tye performed well, that is him on the lookout....Happy Holidays, looking forward to my next time out.  Best regards,  Dave Cowan NC

First Season

via email: John, just wanted to send along a few shots of my November trip....what more could you want, great fellowship with first year member Tom Modin, good dog work (My lab, Tye), and greenheads!

Thank you for improving the [deleted] duck marsh, it is so much better than last year. Hoping to come out in Dec. for geese.  Best regards and happy holidays to all in the office.

Sincerely,  Dave Cowan (the camo face in front of the C and L Plucker)
