Cass Waterfowl Lake 4

The first 3 pictures are from standing in one spot and attempting to show the entire water surface from three angles.

This is from the lake's far side looking across to the goose hunting crop field in the background. An attempt to show the size of the water surface area and crop field, this year in corn, that is available for goose decoy spreads.

Results from the early goose season with the increased limit.

Lake 4 is an open lake with natural vegetation around the shoreline. The north and west shorelines are flat and gradually drop to deeper water.

Chest waders can be used to place decoys, but the huntermust be cautious the lake drops to over 20 feet in the center.

For the hunter with a retrieving dog, this is an ideal set up for a makeshift blind to hunt ducks in open water.

While the majority of our managed wetlands primarily attract puddle ducks, lake 4 is known for a combination of both puddle ducks and divers.

The lake is surrounded with over 200 acres rotated from corn to beans, which can support large goose spreads.

Being on the Settles Ford and Grand River Flyway this property can be a major feeding area for both Canada and Snow Geese.

"After one has his limit he takes pictures."
