Bill Lord on a Lifetime

Via email:

Jon,

Guys, (and gals!), I regret that I must give up my membership in the Association.

Health has been deteriorating the past few years, and really took a plunge this Fall – so I guess I’m having to give up the deer and duck hunting which I have loved and enjoyed as a short-time member. But for a guy approaching 70, I guess it is getting time to leave the field to younger folks.

I’ve always stalked my deer and waded for my ducks – the tougher the going the better. Sure hate to give that up!

Life has been good – and exciting. I was a paratroop Army Chaplain for twenty great years (including three tours in ‘Nam), a hunter, a fly fisher, and skier while doing Corporate management consulting and training in Europe and the US for another fifteen years, and for the last few years a retired grand-dad proudly watching the grandkids grow up to be fine young people (one in the Air Force and two HS Seniors heading to pre-med at MU!)

I wish I had come across the Association years ago! You deliver what you promise. And for those who think the membership price is high – I assure you that for value received, there is none better!

B’sides that, you’re really nice guys.

Thanks for the work you put in to make my last few years of hunting memorable.

Have a great season!

Bill Lord
